Dear family and friends

WE DID IT!!! We’re married :) Thank you to everyone for coming, we really appreciate you coming all the way to rural France to celebrate our wedding! It would not have been the same without you, so thanks again! It’s been hard getting back to reality – we really felt like we were all were together on a little cloud of happiness during the last week. And now, back to work and writing up my thesis! One thing we forgot was to bring a guestbook to the wedding – so if you have something to say, please feel free to post a comment on the website!

xoxoxo V&G.

Wedding Drink Recipe

Some of you may remember the refreshing drink that was served at both the Oslo ceremony and at Longeveau on the Thursday evening departure party. A few people expressed interest in the recipe so here it is, and even though it’s mainly a summer drink, it would probably be a good party-warmer at any time. And don”t forget that although it’s chilly here in Oslo as I write this, our Australian friends are just at the beginning of their summer.

Recipe for 50 people (makes about 10 litres):

  • 1 litre Cointreau
  • 2 litres cane sugar syrup
  • 10 bottles (75cl) sparling white wine (Saumur or equivalent)
  • 5 lemons, 5 limes

Prepare the day before and leave to soak overnight.

For those of you not too good at maths, that means for a small gathering of say 10 people, divide all the above quantities by 5.

The festive season is coming up so give it a try !
